All About Summer Camp Scholarships Summer Camp Scholarships is a PA nonprofit corporation, founded by Alexandra L. Schneider in the spring of 2005, during her graduation project for Wissahickon High School. Alex began attending Twin Spring Farm Day Camp as at the age of three, and completed the entire camper program, including three years as a counselor in leadership training. Grateful for all that the summer camp experience has brought into her life, Alex set a goal to bring this same experience to children in the Delaware Valley who cannot afford tuition for some of the area's finest summer day camps. How many children? That is up to you. 100% of all funds donated to Summer Camp Scholarships will be disbursed as tuition, directly to summer camps enrolling scholarship recipients. Summer Camp Scholarships is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity. Summer Camp Scholarships has provided partial scholarships to children for 8 week camp seasons at Twin Spring Farm Day Camp. Mrs. Vicki Schneider serves as mentor and supervisor for this project and corporation. All incoming funds are deposited into the "Summer Camp Scholarships" account, which allows withdrawals only for tuition or uniform costs, paid directly to the camps. |
